CUBISM ART LEARNING STORY
If you are wondering what CUBISM ART is I will tell you. See if you look at a broken mirror you will see parts of your faces all around in pieces, and that’s what Cubism Art looks like. It is when you look at art from lots of different perspectives. Long Long time ago about in the 90's, there was a Spanish man that was an artist called Pablo Picasso. He was the founder and creator of cubism Art, with another man named Georges Braque. On 28th of February, both Aroha and Awhina Tuakana went to the Pataka Exhibition to learn more about Cubism Art so we could get some good ideas when we do Cubism Art at school. I had lot’s of ideas from the Pataka Exhibition like you don’t need to make your art perfect because when you're finished it’s going to look AMAZING! At school, both Aroha and Awhina had to draw our self-portrait but in Cubism Art style. In the beginning, I was struggling because I wanted the circle of my face to be perfect but Mel said “It’s not all about making your art perfect because if cubism art is finished then it will come out great oh and remember never give up on the thing you want to finish’’ and I was thinking ok so I just drew a circle but it came up good in the end. In art, I was good at putting more cubism in my art by taking a risk and giving things a go because I knew it didn’t need to be perfect. I used bold lines the way I wanted it to be and I chose the right colour so I could make my art stand out. I used contrasting colours like green, purple, yellow, and red or blue. Blue was my contrasting colour. Bue represents my culture Samoan and even adding my own style to my Art. If you want your Art to look very very perfect but you can’t and just give up DON’T YOU DARE give up the things you want to finish just be yourself and draw because if you draw something it will make your art look AMAZING! Remember never give up, just believe in yourself, and just be yourself.
P.E. LEARNING STORY
In P.E. we have been learning how to help our teammates by sticking as a team, sharing strategies, sharing the ball, being on the waka, making sure we respect our teammates and also using our key competencies.
We played two games, the first game was dodgeball ‘’of course dodgeball why would no one play dodgeball?’’ In dodgeball some people can get angry if you make the team lose but seeing lot of people telling each other strategies and giving the ball to their teammates so everyone gets a turn helps your team to win.
Dodgeball is quite a hard game for other people but if it’s hard for me I will just take a risk even if it’s scary playing in front of other kids. My team was good at encouraging me and I’m good at encouraging my teammate’s by saying ‘’ Catch the ball and try and hit them. You can do it’’
I am also good at giving my teammates the ball if they didn’t have a turn.
I have to improve on most of my skills such as, trying not to get out first, having a turn when throwing the ball and improving my throwing skills.

Our second game was T ball. T ball was a pretty hard game but most of the teams were participating and contributing.
I see students in other teams encouraging their teammates and saying ‘’catch the ball’’ or ‘’throw the ball at them’’and saying to other team’s ‘’you did well’’ or ‘’keep up’’ (when they lose). Also I like the way how they encourage me because I dropped the ball but they didn’t get angry or moan at me, they just said ‘’ good catch keep on trying’’ and my teammates all ways respect me.
I’m good at helping my team by using ideas to try and throw the ball to the other team and using good ideas and explaining it clearly so my teammates will understand. Also making sure the team is sticking together so that mean’s no one should be out of the waka being a passenger.

MATH LEARNING STORIES
In maths, we are trying to figure out How many tablespoons of coconut cream will they need for 38 containers?
Our group decided to do Multiplication because it said How many tablespoon of coconut cream will they need for 38 containers?
So you're basically timings it.
Our group did 38 x 12 = ? it was too hard so we decided to split 38 since it was a big number, so we times it.
We did
We did
10 x 12 = 120
10 x 12 = 120
10 x 12 = 120
8 x 12 = 96
Then we add all the answers together
120
+ 120
_____
240
+ 120
_______
360
+ 96
_______
456
We worked out the Answer it was 456.
So they would need 456 tablespoons for 38 containers.
In math, I was good at sharing ideas so we could get more and more ideas and I was good at explaining in different ways to my group so they would understand and also asking good questions if I get confused.

THE MARKET
The Market
I felt the cool breeze coming towards my face when I took my first step into the market. I felt the scorching hot sun burning down on me, when I look at the hot shiny sun I see my dark grizzly shadow fall down behind me.
I saw chocolate and milky white people dancing underneath the scorching sun. I feel joy in my heart today when I see wonderful attractive people everywhere. “Mmmm! what is that yummy delicious delectable smell YUMMY!!! "My Tummy is grumbly uh! Mum can I eat some luscious delectable delicious tasteful kebabs with that juicy flavour and that nice sweet taste of pancakes”. “I am STARVING!! Grumble! Grumble! Grumble!
